Tip #3

TIP #3

This one is all about food. It is an understatement to suggest that the holidays are synonymous with an eating frenzy. Food is everywhere. And this is not any of the healthy stuff that might give us a little energy and make us feel good. No. It’s the greasy, salty, sweet stuff that makes us feel lethargic and weak and puffy the next day. Yeah, you know what I’m talking about. If you eat clean on a day-to-day basis and then indulge in the “treats” that are left at the office, and believe it or not your health club, you know how too much of it makes you feel. If you eat the greasy, salty, sweet stuff on a regular basis…well, you wouldn’t even be reading this. I am not going to suggest that you avoid the party foods since that would mean staying at home. However, if your goal is to get to January 1 without weight gain, I will suggest that you eat before you go so that you aren’t starving when you walk in the door. Remember that if your glass isn’t filled with water or a diet soda, chances are there are some empty calories involved. Enjoy the holidays and the parties that come with it. Just be conservative with your choices and don’t stuff yourself silly. Save that for Christmas Day!
