End of the Month

I continue to think about yesterdays post on belly fat. I have been asked about it so much. The answer is never what any of us want to hear. Dr. James de Lemos, the cardiologist who led the study I reported conducted through the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, commented in an on-line article.  Maybe it will help to ease the frustration for some of you that feel you are working so hard. "As a young adult you have got to make some serious lifelong choices about maintaining your body shape. You have to fight every day the middle age creep in terms of belt size. Food is plentiful. It's cheap and it's high calorie and most of us work sedentary jobs. It's a day-to-day battle, but it is worth fighting. Even a small pot belly puts us at a higher risk compared to a flat tummy." Not all of us are young adults, but the decision is still there to make. Remember that to fail to decide is to decide.
