Dr. Andrew Weil is a well-known author and physician with a
passion for bringing together alternative and conventional medicine. On his blog he recently made comments about
his feelings about turning 70 this month.
He remembered when he turned 60 that more of his life was behind him
than in front and now as he turns 70, he refers to himself as an elder. Experience has shown him that the years
between 70 and 80 represents a decade of decline and change. The challenge he brings to all of us is to
find a balance between denying the inevitability of aging and obsessing over
it. The challenge that I bring to all of us is to use the years before 70
wisely.
