I just had a
conversation with my pharmacist about the value of keeping aspirin in the night
stand for quick access in the event of a heart attack at night. She said to me, “Interesting that you bring
this up. I just today talked to the
staff about recently published studies showing that people who took aspirin at
the first sign of a heart attack had a much better chance of surviving than
those who did not”. Keeping an extra bottle of aspirin on the table beside the
bed might be a good idea. If you should
ever need it during the night, running around trying to remember where you had
it last…not a good idea. During your next doctor’s appointment, check it out there as well.
