Push!

One of the advantages of working with a trainer is the push a trainer gives you to work outside of your comfort zone; the challenge to do a few exercises that you really don't like. This week when you go for workouts, remember to push.  Do the exercise that you hate. You might do your push-ups using a medicine ball, the bridge with a fitness ball or squats with an overhead press. Try  a bench press single arm instead of double and flies with legs at table top instead of your feet on the floor.  When you are ready for bicep curls, stand on only one foot and work on your balance as well. My participants always work outside of the box in their workouts.  Even my older adults are challenged with an exercise in co-ordination, balance or a few extra minutes of cardio.
