Life Is Good

You may have one of these popular T-shirts. Do you know that Bert and John Jacob started their T-shirt business in 1989?  They didn't know much about running a business, lived out of their van eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and showered sometimes. It wasn't until 5 years later in a state of desperation that they printed up 48 T-shirts with "Jake", the little drawing with the big smile. They sold like hotcakes!

Scott Josephson, in a presentation "Winning At Losing: Weight Management Made Simple", said it is all about six words. "How important is it to you?"  For Bert and John Jacob, they did what it took to make their business a success. Sometimes when your goal gets tough, ask yourself "How important is it to me"? On a scale of 1-10, if it's not a 9 or a 10 it's probably not going to happen. But then, what do I know!
