Chest Work

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin did some research to determine which exercise is most effective for strengthening the chest. They worked with a group of 14 men ages 19-30 and the study involved a group of nine exercises; four of which were body weight resistance. At the end of the day, the barbell bench press came in first closely followed by the pec deck and then bent forward cable crossover. The standard push up, believe it or not, came in last.  I share this with you because for those of you short on time with workouts can focus on what will gives you the most for time in the gym.  For one reason or another, some of you struggle with push ups thinking it is a gold standard for fitness. Just focus on what is good for you!
