Plant-Based.

If you want to do one thing that is simply good for you with the added bonus of making you feel better, make a shift towards a plant based diet. I'm not suggesting that you become a vegan or that you just finish the green beans on your dinner plate, but rather that you consider eating plant food in their whole real form as God intended.  I am thinking about vegetables, fruits, healthy grains, and nuts. A few almonds are a great snack. Filling your dinner plate with summer squash, zucchini, spinach, broccoli, kale (to mention a few) and pieces of fruit provides a meal naturally low in fat and high in so many other things that I won't even get started.  Even if there is a draught in California and your farmer's market is not year 'round, this is the smart way to go.
